Beautiful drawings that represented Arya Tara in a modern and elegant way.
The challenge
Arya Tara is a luxury candle company. The brand is well established but their candle labels needed rebranding with new illustrations. The owner wanted to depict the goddess Arya Tara in a subtle, modern and unique way. She also wanted botanical illustrations which would suit her product collections.
How I helped
I researched Arya Tara and found the lotus flower is symbolic in her story. Adding them to her hair and tiara highlighted her features. I drew her face in a modern style as minimal, linear drawings match the artistic approach of the brand story. Flowers have been carefully selected for each collection. An example is the small succulent plant
added to the label to represent Arizona, where the business is based. The typography on the labels is simple, so it doesn’t overwhelm or distract from the illustrations.
