Branding for Eco Candles & Home Scents
The Challenge
Creating a distinctive identity for a growing product brand.
Snug Scent, a premium home fragrance company, approached me with a brand that lacked consistency across its different touchpoints. They also felt their existing positioning wasn’t clearly communicating what made their products different.
The goal was to create a more cohesive and distinctive identity that reflected the quality of their products while highlighting their expertise in candle making and their use of natural essential oils.
The Approach
Building a botanical identity around natural ingredients.
We explored the brand’s story, products and values to define a clearer visual direction. The identity combined a minimal, elegant aesthetic with botanical elements inspired by the natural ingredients behind the products.
I created a refined logo incorporating a drop to represent natural essential oils and a leaf to reflect the brand’s connection to nature. Hand-drawn botanical illustrations were created and digitised to add an artistic, recognisable element to the identity.
The packaging was designed to work consistently across different products and vessels, with a simple label system supported by the bespoke illustrations.
The Outcome
A cohesive brand with a more distinctive visual presence.
The rebrand gave Snug Scent a consistent identity across its touchpoints and greater confidence in presenting the business.
The bespoke botanical illustrations became a key part of the brand’s visual language, helping it communicate its natural ingredients and differentiate itself within the market.
The new identity also helped the business gain wider visibility, with Snug Scent subsequently appearing in The Times with its new branding.
